Generate it yourself or have it made?

AI video generators deliver clips, not advertising. The generator is only the camera; the difference is who operates it.

Idea
Concept instead of prompt: script, storyboard and look, just like a classic commercial production.
Brand
Consistency in every shot: keeping product, characters and brand world stable across the whole spot is the hardest discipline in generative production.
Finish
Edit, sound and grade under one roof, until the spot is broadcast-ready: TV, cinema, social.

How AI commercial production works: pipeline, cost drivers, labelling

Whether you call it an AI commercial, an AI spot or an AI ad, AI commercial production follows the logic of a classic commercial.

Generative image and video models replace camera, set and location; concept, direction, edit and sound remain craft. Here is how a spot is made, what drives the price and how it is labelled.

1 · The pipeline: from brief to master

Briefing and concept. We define goal, audience and channels. Concept and script go to you for approval before the first frame is generated.

Style frames. Every shot is first designed as a still: look, light, characters, product. You approve the style frames, and they become the reference for production.

AI production. The approved style frames are animated with image and video models. Character and product references keep the same faces and the same product in every shot. Each scene is generated in several takes, and I select the best.

For the Klassenlotterie spot, for example, the style frames came from Nano Banana 2 and the motion from Seedance 2.5.

Edit, sound and finishing. Edit, compositing, grade, voice-over, music and sound design work as in any post-production. Logos, legal copy and on-screen text come from your original files as graphics instead of being generated.

Finally, the versions: 16:9, 9:16 and any other format you need.

2 · What drives the cost

Generating images costs little. What you pay for is the work of the people who direct, select and finish them. The main cost drivers:

  • Consistency. Characters or a product that must look exactly the same across many shots need reference images and many iterations. This is the biggest price driver.
  • Number of scenes. Scenes cost money, not seconds: every scene means its own generations and its own rejects.
  • Formats and versions. Each additional format means editing and often new generation work.
  • Sound. Voice-over, music, sound design and the mix.
  • Late changes. Changing a finished shot means new generations. Approving the look at the style-frame stage avoids that.

An AI commercial of 20 to 30 seconds plus a vertical version starts at €5,000 net; technical and explainer films start at €7,000 net. Prices, packages and all cost factors

3 · Labelling

Since 2 August 2026, the transparency obligations under Article 50 of the EU AI Act have applied.

Whether and how an AI commercial has to be labelled depends on its content and where it runs, so we settle it before production starts: a label in the picture, a notice where the spot runs, or both.

On request, I document the models used. In the YouTube spot for the Austrian Klassenlotterie, the label “KI-generiert” (AI-generated) appears in the picture at the start, with the scope agreed with the client.

This is not legal advice. Labelling and approvals in detail

AI labelling and approvals: settled before we start

Labelling
How the spot is labelled as AI-generated is something we agree on together before production starts: a label in the picture and/or a notice where it runs. On request, I document the models used.
People & brands
No other people’s faces, voices or brands in client projects without approval.
Product & CI
Logos and typography from your original files, product views from your CAD data or photos on request.
Approval
You approve every shot as a style frame before production starts.
Perception
We decide together whether AI is part of the message.

FAQ about AI commercials

Is AI advertising allowed?

AI advertising is allowed, but under rules in force since 2 August 2026 it must in many cases be recognisable as AI-generated, so Peter Jablonowski agrees the labelling of every AI commercial with you before production starts.

The transparency obligations are set out in Article 50 of the EU AI Act. This is not legal advice.

Where can I get an AI commercial made?

You get an AI commercial made by a producer who creates AI advertising on commission, such as Peter Jablonowski in Vienna, not by a tool provider.

I produce AI commercials for businesses and agencies in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and internationally, from concept to broadcast-ready master, from €5,000 net.

Why have it made instead of generating it yourself?

Having an AI commercial made by Peter Jablonowski pays off because advertising needs more than DIY clips: a concept, the same characters and product in every shot, logos from your original files, sound and mix, and your approval before production.

For social experiments, DIY is often enough; for brand communication backed by media spend, it rarely is.

What kinds of AI commercials are possible?

Peter Jablonowski makes AI commercials as spots for TV, cinema and social media, as AI brand films and as product worlds, fully generative or hybrid with real footage, from 16:9 to 9:16.

Short clips are available as an add-on to a spot.

Is there a minimum budget?

An AI commercial by Peter Jablonowski starts at €5,000 net, so that is the budget at which an inquiry makes sense. I produce exclusively for businesses and agencies.

For private ideas or very small projects, doing it yourself is often the better route: the guide “DIY or hire a pro?” helps you decide.
